Driver and Passenger Requirements, Safety and Insurance
Drivers do not need previous off-road experience or a driving licence. However, every participant must meet the applicable age, identification, health and safety requirements below.
Drivers Must Be 16 or Older
- Minimum driver age: 16 years
- Valid government-issued identification required
- No driving licence required for the guided off-road route
- No previous dune-driving experience required
Accepted identification may include an original passport, Emirates ID or another valid government-issued photo ID.
Up to Three Passengers
- One driver and up to three passengers per buggy
- Minimum passenger age: 3 years
- Every passenger must fit the seat and safety harness correctly
- Final participation is subject to operator approval
Meeting the minimum age does not automatically guarantee acceptance. Harness fit and the participant’s ability to follow instructions are also considered.
Driver Changes Must Be Approved
- Every intended driver must be at least 16
- Every intended driver must present valid identification
- Each driver must attend the safety briefing
- Driver changes require the guide’s permission

Follow Your Guide Throughout the Tour
The guide controls the route and pace according to rider ability, visibility, weather and current desert conditions.
Wear the supplied helmet, goggles and fitted safety harness.
Maintain the convoy spacing explained during the briefing.
No racing, drifting, zig-zag driving or dangerous overtaking.
Do not leave the guided route or perform unauthorized manoeuvres.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
The guide may reduce the pace or stop a participant displaying unsafe behaviour.
Participation remains subject to check-in verification, correct safety-harness fit, completion of the briefing and the guide’s operational assessment.

Can I cancel or reschedule my buggy tour? Yes. Submit your request at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time to receive a full refund or one free reschedule, subject to availability.

- Full refund of the eligible booking payment
- One complimentary date or time change
Late Cancellation
Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time are non-refundable.
Date or time changes inside the 24-hour period are not guaranteed and may require a new booking or additional charges.No-Show Policy
A booking is treated as a no-show when the guest does not attend the confirmed tour and has not submitted an acknowledged cancellation or change request within the permitted period.
No-show bookings are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled without a new payment.Weather or Operational Changes
If the operator cancels the tour because of extreme weather, unsafe desert conditions or an operational issue, the booking customer will be offered:
- An alternative available tour date or time
- A full refund of the affected tour payment

Is hotel pickup and drop-off available?
Yes. Shared or private transfer may be requested for an additional charge. Availability and pricing depend on the pickup location, group size and tour time. Dubai pickup is available, while Sharjah and Ajman can be requested in advance.
Self-arrival is free. Transfer time is separate from the selected buggy riding duration.
What should I wear and bring?
Bring valid government-issued photo identification. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended for daytime tours. Helmets and goggles are provided.
Is the tour suitable during pregnancy or with a medical condition?
The off-road ride is not recommended during pregnancy or for guests with serious back, neck, heart or other medical conditions. Seek appropriate medical advice and contact the booking team before payment if you are unsure whether the activity is suitable.
Are accidents or vehicle damage covered by insurance?
Standard on-road motor insurance does not cover off-road desert activity in the same way as normal road driving. Damage or recovery costs caused by reckless driving, negligence, unauthorized use, rollover or failure to follow guide instructions may be charged to the responsible participant, subject to the booking terms and applicable law.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Requests received at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time qualify for a full refund or one free reschedule, subject to availability. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the tour and no-shows are non-refundable.
Requests must be submitted in writing and are valid after written acknowledgement from the booking team. Approved refunds are normally processed within 7–14 business days.
